Swifties were recently treated to an announcement from Taylor Swift herself confirming that “The Eras Tour” will finally be landing on British soil next summer. But eagle-eyed fans are convinced that the star has another special announcement: Glastonbury.
The “Cruel Summer” hitmaker confirmed her UK and Europe tour via Twitter, where Swift wrote, alongside a calendar of international tour dates, “EXCUSE ME HI I HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY 🙋♀️ I can’t wait to see so many of you on The Eras Tour next year at these new international dates!”
The 33-year-old will kick off the Europe leg of her tour on 9 May, 2024 in Paris and will end the tour on 17 August, 2024 in London, with Sabrina Carpenter joining her as a special guest. The star will remain in the UK from 7 June until 22 June, before heading to Dublin on 28 June for two nights, where she then has a suspicious gap in her tour dates until 5 July. Now, Glastonbury 2024 is set to take place from 26 to 30 June, meaning that there is more than enough time for the star to headline at the festival, potentially as the Sunday closing set.

BBC Radio 1 presenter Greg James fuelled the speculation by posting on his Instagram story: “Nice little Glastonbury gap you’ve got there!”, and other fans have chimed in. “babe wake up, Taylor Swift dropped the eu eras tour dates & there’s a glastonbury sized gap,” said one fan, while another wrote: “taylor swift is soooo gonna headline glastonbury”. A representative of Glastonbury Festival did not immediately respond to POPSUGAR’s request for comment.
Back in 2020, T-Swizzle was set to headline the ever-popular music festival, but was forced to pull out due to the pandemic. More recently, organiser Emily Eavis revealed to Variety in an interview last year: “I think we’ve got Taylor on board next time she’s doing some touring.” Of course, Swift’s potential set would make a welcome change from the all-male headliners of Glastonbury 2023. If Swift really is keeping a “Blank Space” in her diary for the festival, then we can’t wait to grab tickets.
