Joy Crookes Wears Custom Cape to BRIT Awards 2022

The 2022 BRIT Awards took place at the O2 Arena tonight and a number of the red carpet outfits made a significant impact on viewers. One standout outfit in particular came from Irish-Bangladeshi artist Joy Crookes who, back in 2020, wore a traditional lehenga to the awards ceremony in an attempt to make a statement about the lack of south asian artists in the industry. For the 2022 awards, the neo-soul artist wore yet another powerful ensemble, a crop top with matching skirt and cape made by British designers, Kate Walker and Natalie Roar.

Crookes shared an image of the outfit on Instagram with a caption that read “came dressed like an award in case I don’t take any home tonight #BRITs” and crediting south asian-owned brands like Byredo and Alighieri for her makeup and jewellery.
