Prince Harry ITV Interview Teaser

The Duke of Sussex continues to address his broken relationship with members of the royal family in a new teaser clip released by ITV ahead of “Harry: The Interview”, airing on 8 Jan. The ITN special involves Prince Harry being interviewed by journalist Tom Bradby, who he has known for 20 years, at Harry’s home in California ahead of the release of his highly-anticipated memoir, “Spare”.

In the second teaser clip, Harry talks of his decision to speak publicly about his familial relationships since stepping back as a working royal with his wife, Meghan Markle. “I don’t know how staying silent is ever going to make things better,” he says. Bradby continues to question Harry about accusations that his public outpouring invades the privacy of his family without permission, something Harry himself has railed against. “That would be the accusation from people that don’t understand or don’t want to believe that my family have been briefing the press,” Harry responds.

The clip also addresses King Charles’ coronation, due to take place on 6 May, but Harry doesn’t commit to attending. “There’s a lot that can happen between now and then. But, the door is always open. The ball is in their court,” he says. “There’s a lot to be discussed and I really hope that they’re willing to sit down and talk about it.” Despite the fractured family bonds, Harry maintains that he believes in the monarchy.

The clip, released on 5 Jan., coincided with a leaked extract from his upcoming autobiography in The Guardian, in which Harry recounts an alleged physical attack by his brother, Prince William. A first clip of the landmark ITV interview arrived on 2 Jan., in which he says, “I would like to get my father back, I would like to have my brother back.”

His autobiography, “Spare”, will be released on 10 Jan. with publisher Penguin Random House Publisher Penguin Random House billing it as “a landmark publication full of insight, revelation, self-examination, and hard-won wisdom about the eternal power of love over grief.” As well as the ITV interview, Harry has also filmed a sit-down chat with Anderson Cooper on CBS’s “60 Minutes”, also airing on 8 Jan.

While the six-part Netflix docuseries “Harry & Meghan” was full of revelations, as well as the couple’s interview with Oprah in 2021, if these clips are anything to go by, there’s likely to be lots more stories to come.
